On April 10 – 14, Vancouver will once again play host to thousands of attendees from around the world for the annual flagship TED Conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This year’s five-day event — themed “The Age of Amazement” — will feature speakers on a wide range of topics, including radical breakthroughs in science, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, technology and glorious new forms of creativity.
With a reputation for a leading edge exchange of ideas, this year’s TED Conference also delivers a taste of Vancouver’s thriving coffee scene.
We’re proud to have been selected as an Official Coffee Partner for the TED2018 conference as the organizers were looking for more ways to activate the conference values by sourcing local and sustainable food and beverage options. We’ll be onsite pouring shots of our signature organic fairtrade espresso — recently voted as Vancouver’s Best Fair Trade Coffee by Georgia Straight Magazine Readers (thank you!).
Ethical Bean Coffee defines success by creating value for small-scale fair trade and organic farmers. Choosing to support the 1.65 million fair trade farmers and workers in the global south is critical as they act as caretakers for the environment, are key players in rural development, and are at the core of a healthy planet and thriving global population.
Ethical Bean Coffee is proud to partner with TED2018 to help build stronger and more resilient global communities and is excited to engage with attendees ready to enter the Age of Amazement.
